Mixed feeling, i guess
Yesterday was seems to be a special day for me. It's neither any good friend's birthday nor any important anniversary or celebration.Yesterday was an ordinary thursday; an ordinary school day; an ordinary weekday.
Yup, my students (one current and a ex-student) asked me out to play badminton with them. To me, badminton is very ordinary; but it is the crowd that is not. This ex-student of mine, should i say one of my favorite student, is current in Poly year 1, taking computer engineering. I have not seen him for ages (actually, i think 8 months odd). The moment i saw him yesterday, i was a little shocked - he changed quite alot; very matured and taller.
Mixed feeling, i guess - Happy that there is another student pursuing his dream and future actively; Sad that i'm actually aging. (He used to give me the young and quiet nature; now he has the outgoing and mature look {which is good, which is good for him}. )
Recently, hearing many ex-students' latest updates, set me into deep comfort. My aim for taking up tutoring and planning into teaching has really really grow stronger.
I love teaching.
